The room offered us a great view of the seafront. The bed was very comfortable, and there was ample storage space for our clothes etc. Breakfast was wonderful with a large choice of English breakfast and Continental breakfast items. Dinner with an allowance of £30 per person per day was mostly very nice, indeed on our wedding anniversary at the hotel, we were able to include a bottle of Moet Chandon for just £21 by using up our unused allowance for that day. Location was brilliant, as we were close to the Seaburn beach area, which is very nice with a couple of welcoming public houses and fish and chip restaurants.. On our return home, I found that I'd left a couple of toothbrush chargers and a hat in the room. A quick phone call to the reception, and the girl who answered arranged to have them returned to me by recorded delivery, the parcel arrived the following day. I was most impressed.

staff , great, location great. View from my sea view room great until blocked by truck , and transit vans. Bed comfy good quality clean line, ( pillows far too soft for me , but, appreciate you can’t please everyone!! ) quality toiletries a lot of thought ,gone into refurb ok a very old building , lots of up and down stairs, to get to room, but-lift available, and staff offered to help me with luggage. Had dinner in restaurant on 1st night, delicious, and service great, drinks very reasonably. Priced . Second night Tried Italian resuturant on site fabulous and again very well priced Ok it’s a very old building, a bit of noise, from plumbing , but, it’s a hotel, 🤷‍♂️people are up and about at 6 in the morning, so and we all want a power shower!! No noise from corridors, or neighbouring rooms,

Beautiful place, amazing bar with great views out to sea. The Room was super clean and comfy and the water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. The food served in the Poetic license bar was absolutely delicious, the cakes in Let there be crumbs we to die for and the bar and restaurant staff were super friendly and so helpful. Every member of staff we spoke too was so helpful and looked to enjoy their jobs. The location of the hotel was super relaxed, we stayed for 3 nights and felt so chilled the whole stay. Plenty of parking round the back of the hotel. We'll definitely return in the future. Can't recommend The Roker hotel enough.

Location was perfect, the staff were exceptional especially Ian on Reception and the young gentleman on breakfast duty Sunday 3/11/24 we changed our twin room as it faced back of hotel and room was a bit tired, we was informed that they are going to upgrade all rooms. We paid for upgrade and got a fabulous room with sea view, room was large nicely done, big queen sized bed so big enough to share with my cousin, bathroom was big had both bath and separate shower, breakfast was good

Tracey

Price for room only was very good but breakfast & beer prices were very high. Plenty of free parking spaces when we stayed in February but unsure if sufficient at peak season. Staff helpful & up to Best Western standards. Ate locally for evening meal & reasonable selection of restaurants within walking distance. Hotel is on the seafront but our room was on the side.
